I am a degree qualified nutritionist with my BSc in Nutrition and my MSc in Obesity Science. My journey began in the utmost conventional sense, I was in school studying for my BSc in Nutrition in a school of Nutrition, Dietetics and Biological sciences. I whole heartedly believed in the messages I was being taught such as too much fat was bad for the heart and weight gain was all just about too much food and not enough exercise. Then in the second year of my undergrad degree, I was about to learn that everything we were being taught to be absolutely gospel, may not quite have been the case. From there, I quickly became engulfed in the world of low carbohydrate nutrition and the rest was history. In my master’s degree I studied the effect of a low carbohydrate diet on those with and without type 2 diabetes.
From the time of studying up until now, I have worked with hundreds of people at implementing this dietary approach safely and effectively. The areas I have worked with range from weight loss, diabetes, PCOS, neurological conditions and cancer.
Most recently I completed an 8-month worldwide tour visiting South Africa, Australia, America and Canada. In each of these countries I met with and shadowed with various thought leaders in the field of low carbohydrate and ketogenic nutrition
