I am a General Practitioner, (family physician) based in North Wales, who is currently studying for a Masters degree in Nutritional Medicine at the University of Surrey, and recently attended KetoCollege, run by the Matthew’s friends charity on ketogenic therapies.

I have a broad range of interests, having completed an intercalated degree in International Health whilst at Medical School, and have gone on to obtain postgraduate qualifications in Occupational Medicine, Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Sexual health. I became a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2008.

I have been interested in role of low carbohydrate and ketogenic diets in health for over 3 years, and have been actively using these approaches with patients on a daily bases ever since. I was recently interviewed on the BBC1 Wales documentary “Fat v Carbs with Jamie Owen” which aired on the 3rd of October 2016, lectures regularly on LCHF/keto to fellow health professionals, and have started an educational group for patients with diabetes and pre-diabetes at my practice,

I continue to integrate my growing knowledge of nutrition into my daily practice, having recognized the fundamental importance of diet in health, and how my conventional training failed to address this.
